Hi,
So I’m in the process of researching about fitness trackers as recently I have embarked on a ‘fitness journey’.
I already wear an analog watch on my left hand so I was thinking something discrete and minimal that I can put on my right hand.
I am stuck between the inspire 2 and 3. The inspire 2 is much better in terms of pricing, but what would I be missing out on?
Or should I opt for the garmin vivosmart 4?

Hello @kondeye and welcome to the Community. The Inspire series is Fitbit's basic, entry level tracker. This article from Live Science is a third party side-by-side comparison. Since you wear a different watch to see the time, the difference between a color screen (Inspire 3) and a monochrome screen (Inspire 2) might not seem like an important feature. But it is important if you decide to ditch the analog watch and wear the Fitbit as your watch. There is one other distinct difference. The Inspire 3 has the SpO2 sensor that reports your average sleeping SpO2. The Inspire 2 doesn't have the sensor.
The other big difference is that the Inspire 2 is a discontinued model. It's unlikely that it will receive any more firmware updates, unless there is a security patch. In addition, you see those better prices from third party sellers. There is no Fitbit warranty unless you buy it from an Authorized Retailer.
I don't have any experience with any Garmin products.

Get the 3. I had a 2 and it became wildly unreliable after the last official update. Like the person says above, it's a discontinued model. I had a low-cost Garmin previously. It was even less reliable and much clunkier. My Medicare advantage plan pretty much pays for the low-cost ones, but also gives a discount on the higher end models. That's how I've tested them out during the last 3 years. Again, the inspire 3 is much better than the inspire. 2. If you're spending your own money, I'd pick that one. I'm happy.
