Inspire 3 stuck on "Oops. Looks like there's no internet connection"

device is tracking according to phone app, but screen shows only 5 dots.  Attempts to reset failed.   Saw suggestion to change clock face, but when I select "gallery" in app,  message is "oops, looks like there's no Internet connection".  That's not true because "how to use" and "accessories"  work just fine,  and it's syncing.   About ready to toss it in the trash.

Hi there, @k2mo. Thanks for stopping by in the Fitbit Community Forums. I'm sorry to hear that your Inspire 3 is stuck on that message. I understand how you must be feeling. I'll do my best to help you with this!

As a first approach, please note the "Oops no internet connection" issue can be caused by the use of the following on your phone:

  • VPN
  • AdBlock software
  • Security software
  • Private DNS

If you found out that some of the above was causing the issue, correct it and then, try changing the clock face once again.

If you keep getting the Fitbit logo only, let me know so I can continue assisting you.

Hope that helps!

Thanks!   That was indeed the problem.  My husband the IT Security Professional had put a private DNS on my phone.  He knows I have absolutely no clue :).  He disabled it long enough for me to get my clockface etc back.
