Inspire 3 won't pair with iPhone

My wife has an Inspire 3 and I just can't get it to sync with her iPhone. I have tried all of the advice I can find on here and via Googling the topic but still not joy. The strange thing is that the set up process work fine, in that, the iPhone 'sees' the device......the pairing code appears and when I enter that the device shows it is 'pairing; and the iPhone says its 'connecting' but it just won't complete the process. Any ideas from those of you out there that seem to have had similar issues?

Thanks in advance, Colin

Hi there, @Chatfic. It's nice to see you around the Fitbit Community Forums. Thanks for bringing this to my attention and for the troubleshooting steps you've tried. I'm sorry to hear that your wife's Inspire 3 won't set up. I will do my best to help you with this!

As a first approach, please confirm whether you've tried all tips and recommendations provided here Why can't I set up my Fitbit device?

If the issue persists, please try the steps below in the order listed:

  • Unpair other Bluetooth devices that she may also have paired to your phone's Bluetooth settings.
  • Force quit the Fitbit app.
  • Turn off other Bluetooth connections when not in use. This can help to prevent connectivity issues or Bluetooth interference.
  • Shut off the phone and turn it on after 1-2 minutes.
  • Turn on the Bluetooth on the phone.
  • Plug it into the charging cable and open the Fitbit app.
  • Set up the Fitbit device.
  • If there is no connection, restart the Fitbit device.
  • Once the Fitbit device is paired and syncing, please proceed to set up the other Bluetooth devices to the phone again.

With the steps above, what I want you guys to do is to pair the Inspire 3 first to her phone's Bluetooth settings before any other Bluetooth device is connected to the phone.

I have tried everything - I also tried your recommendations in the reply........same thing.........gets to 'pairing' but doesn't complete connecting........get's timed out........have come to the conclusion the device is faulty, can be the only reason in my mind.

Thanks, Colin
