Readiness score; is it random?

How often should one expect to get a readiness score?  I am aware that you have to wear the tracker continuously for 14 days in order to get your score. However after that, as one continues to wear the tracker, how often should one expect to get a score?  I have had the tracker (inspire 3) for several months now, wearing it continuously and it seems the readiness score is provided at random times. I might get scores on back to back days, and then nothing for a week.  It seems to me kind of pointless to only provide a readiness score at random times.

Last week I got 3 readiness scores ranging from 11 to 97.  The week before I got 5 ranging from 18 to 77.  My sleep scores are typically 79 +/- 4 and I usually run 4 days a week though sometimes I'll substitute a walk for a run.  I average about 10,000 steps a day.  I have no idea how the readiness score is calculated or why it isn't reported daily.  I really don't pay much attention to it.  I wear the tracker every day but only about 1/2 the time at night.  I'm mainly interested in step counts and zone minutes.

Hi, @StuartSH, welcome, you may be interested in this article What’s my daily readiness score in the Fitbit app?  Note that premium features are no longer behind a paywall.

I hope this helps but if you are still stuck please post here again.

Thanks for the info.   This article seems to address my question, however I'm still not really clear on how often a readiness score is provided. It seems to suggest that after the first score, you should be able to get a score each day, provided you are wearing the fitbit during the day and night and you are getting a decent night's sleep... "3 hours of quality sleep".   Based on my data, I am getting the required 3 hour of quality sleep, and I wear the fitbit continuously (with the exception of charging time and showering), yet the readiness scoring seems to come very randomly, and definitely not daily.

Hi, @StuartSH I get my score each morning after I have synced my Fitbit app on my phone twice. It goes without saying that you do need to have a sound sleep record to get a score, a restless night might mess up the data.

I hope this helps.

Cheers
