Recording sleep time within the same day for purposes of calculations

Most peoples day starts when they wake up. It seems that Fitbit forces you to start your day at 12:01AM.  Can the Fitbit developers change the start of each day to the scheduled wake up time plus a multiple of minutes, and or just place a software Start/STOP Sleep button on the device to hit as you go to bed and first thing when you wake up?

Hello @npbjim and welcome to the Community.  Every Fitbit resets at midnight and it has been this way since day one (2009).  There is a way to start/stop sleep in the app, but this feature is for older devices that can’t automatically track sleep.  If you do this with an Inspire 3, you will get sleep patterns, not sleep stages.
