I updated to 214.24 yesterday. "improving safety" took a few tries but worked in the end.
Sync worked once or twice after that and was broken since. I reset the tracker, re-paired it, etc. Sync works maybe once, and is then broken for good.
Sync was working flawlessly for months and months and now this rather minor firmware update breaks it? I'd love to downgrade, but that's not possible of course right?

Interestingly, after removing the device in Bluetooth settings sync seems to be working again.
The fitbit app is still nagging me to "let Fitbit link with your inspire 3 to sync more reliably", but going through this process just breaks sync.

This has just happened to me. After grousing about getting a Fitbit with old firmware, I got an update yesterday just after posting that I was still waiting for it. Well, I was so happy. I worked fine! Woke up to my sleep and everything great. And then, s uddenly...not synching. Spools around and tells me it was synched 1 day ago. Researched all the "fixes" but nothing seems to work. I'm SO FRUSTRATED. I'm afraid to uninstall the app. I checked Bluetooth, turned it off and on, turned the phone off and on (has a recent update to the Android system) etc. etc.
I 'm at a loss

UPDATE: I just got off the phone with Google support. A lovely woman in Guatemala. We checked over all settings, reinstalled the app, restarted the phone etc. but...NOTHING
From the home page, if I hit the little icon at the top left, I come to the second "page" and see "Connected to Fitbit" and the Phone syncing. But no Fitbit icon to tap on to get to the Gallery, etc, and no way to sync at all. Also, it doesn't show up in the Bluetooth list of devices.
So, submitted my info and they will replace it. I had my invoice handy and took a screen shot and sent it as requested. They tell me that in 24 hours I should get a full email with all the info. They will send a mailing envelope so I can return this thing. Then they will send another. I asked if I would be getting another older device (old firmware). We'll see. But I did get some agreement that VERY old firmware like the .188 or whatever it was, may have trouble updating to newer updates. I did tell the agent that if they send a very old one again, that I may never buy one again. There is no warning about how old these things are and I really emphasized I wanted a newer device. So there you have it! I love the sleep app and really want to have the heart info as I just had a pacemaker put in, The FitBit was showing a decline over the course of a few weeks of my resting heart rate, although it didn't go as low as it actually turned out to be. But, it DID help me pinpoint the time my issue began. I'll miss the little thing and just HOPE that the new device will work OK...and that any glitches with this newest update that people are having trouble with will get resolved!!!~!

Also an Update from my end. After everything working with Inspire 3 manually un-paired in Bluetooth, I had that sit for a while, then followed the fitbit path of a "better sync" for the second time.
Now everything is working as intended, sync is fine.
How weird.

I got the warranty info by phone not by Gmail which I was told would happen (so it is a pain in the neck to deal with) but noticed at the very end about I could get a refurbished product! So I called Walmart, where I bought it from. And the very nice agent and I discovered that this "sale" item was apparently not the only thing that 3rd party sellers are selling REFURBISHED. Versa, Charge 2, etc. He explained that even though it is "fulfilled" by Walmart on a couple of the resellers (there are a few more) that WM ships them out for the seller from their warehouse. SO, the Google rep said the same thing...a replacement will come from "their warehouse." There are a number of very recent complaints about how these items are being sent out. SO, I decided to forget the "warranty" and just return it to Walmart and get my money back. The Google agent never even brought up the idea of a "refurbished" item, so the lack of transparency really bugs me! I just want my money back! I'm going to call Google again and tell them what I'm doing and I want to ask if you buy direct from the FItbit site if they are actually the latest products are NEW or the latest versions or part of this rash of old product/ or refurbished items being sold. I resent not be giving full info and the transparency issue has really riled me up. Amazon running the same "sale" so I'm skeptical of what is going on there, too!

UPDATE: MORE INFO on this old firmware issue. MAJOR INFO ON AUTHORIZED SELLERS
I returned the Fitbit to Walmart to get my money back. No problem. But I found out more info from Google.. Walmart, Amazon, and EBay ARE NOT AUTHORIZED SELLERS. Authorized sellers include: Best Buy, Target, DIck's Sporting Goods, Costco and QVC. The third party "sales" are OLD units and can be 5 or 6 years old and will not update to the latest update correctly.
I went to Best Buy today and bought a new one. I asked the guy about how often they come it. This one is definitely a 2025 shipment. As a Tech Support member I an additional year warranty (Fitbit's is 1 year).
So, I will now set it up and see when the latest update comes in and what it does to the new unit. At least I can hope that Google witll fix glitches versus being stuck with an OLD unit from ?? that can't really be updated!!!!
Hope this info helps!!
