Since a series of updates to the Fitbit iOS app in 2024 there is a long lag time between starting the app. What I mean by this is the opening screen stays blank, apart from the heading on the app, for up to 3 minutes until it finally shows some information. And the screen appears to freeze ….. you can’t swipe down to see the sync progress for a while longer. I have resorted to restarting the app multiple times and even changing wifi networks which appears to work but I should not have to do this.
The device is within 10 centimetres of the iPad and no other device is connected to it by Bluetooth, I wonder what is going on here. Both the Inspire3 and iOS app are the most recent versions of their respective software.

I usually have to swipe down 3 or 4 times before the Fitbit starts to sync with my iPhone. Once it starts, it usually takes less than a minute but occasionally it takes longer. The step count seems to sync right away but the exercise usually takes longer. I have never had to close and restart the app to get it to sync.
