I'm brand new to Fitbit (and all activity trackers) but I've searched around the Internet quite a bit to find a solution to this and couldn't find one.
I have a sync issue between the device and the app. It's not a HUGE deal but I prefer to look at the stats in the app as they're easier to see there. I believe the tracker is accurate (because I counted steps a bunch of times and they added up pretty well) but then when I look at the app it's widely off (it appears to be getting larger gap through the day. Started at 5%,then 10, now we're at 25%) For instance, when I reached 5000 steps on my device I got an email but the app says I'm on 3600.
I have Inspire 3 and have updated the app to the most recent version. Phone is all updated too. Any thoughts?

Hi, @Avalanchefan welcome to the community, you may find these articles of interest How do Fitbit devices sync their data? - Fitbit Help Center & Why won't my Fitbit device sync? - Android - Fitbit Help Center . From a practical point of view if you want the most up-to-the-moment data from your Inspire 3 in the app on your phone you need to sync manually, do this by sliding your finger down the "Today" screen in the app and releasing it, you'll see a green progress bar at the top moving left to right. Normally it syncs each time you open the app.
I hope this helps, please post here again & let us know how you get on.

Hi, thanks for your reply. Manually syncing doesn't fix this. I've done it 50 times 😂 That was clearly the initial troubleshooting. Wife's is working perfectly - app and device are perfectly in line so I have no idea why mine isn't.

Hi, thanks again.
I am on a Samsung 23, android version 14. I'm on the premium fitbit for now too.
I just went out for a bit and right now I've manually synced both the tracker and the phone in the app and it says I've got (roughly) 8200 steps on the device but 6500 in the app.
I restarted my phone and fitbit just in case one of them was weird. Not sure if one of them needs completely uninstalled or what. Given the wife's is working fine and we set them up at the same time it seems odd that only 1 of us has problems.

Solved!
Apparently Health Connect, whatever that even is, was what was messing this up. I've unlinked that and it's magically fixed.
Thanks for your help!
