I have also been having the same issue. I have reset my iphone and the inspire 3, synced, changed clock face, made sure all personal time & location info was correct, but can not get the update to go through. I have also plugged it into my pc but no prompt came up. In the app the progress bar loads about 75% of the way when i get a :cross_mark: try again on the fitbit screen.

If your Fitbit Inspire 3 is frozen with a red X on the screen, it could indicate a software issue that requires troubleshooting.
Here are a few steps you can try to fix the problem: Restart your Fitbit Inspire 3:
Press and hold the button on the left side of the watch for 10 or 15 seconds until the Fitbit logo appears.
This should force your device to restart and may clear the error. Update your Fitbit Inspire 3: Connect your device to your phone via Bluetooth, then check for updates in the Fitbit app. If an update is available, follow the prompts to download and install it.
This may fix any software bugs that are causing the error.
Factory reset your Fitbit Inspire 3: If restarting and updating your device doesn't work, you can try performing a factory reset to erase all data and settings.
To do this, go to the Settings app on your device, scroll down to "About," then select "Factory Reset." Follow the prompts to confirm the reset. Please note that this will erase all data on your device, so make sure to back up any important information before doing this. I
