I don’t want to sign in with Google. I want to access the website as I have always done. When I try, it just tells me to get the app. I have the app. It doesn’t let me log  steps or anything else. I also have to go to settings and re-pair the device several times a day. Drives me nuts. I’m ready to stomp the stupid thing to bits.

Hi, @JoJean, welcome, the requirement that you create & log in with a Google account was announced some months ago. You may find this article of interest What should I know about moving Fitbit to my Google Account? - Fitbit Help Center .

If you are still having trouble pairing your Fitbit with the app you may find this Video helpful.

I hope this helps, let us know how you get on by posting here again.

Cheers

Guess it's time to go with a different product.  I rarely use google for anything.  I'm certainly not going to use it for a tracker.

i already have all the google services i want.  there was no need for tis.  so many upgrades just mean more work for us with less data for us.  very upset that i can't change the sleep data  on the appwhere we could on the dashboard.  it counts me sleeping ifi'm sitting still for an hour or two reading.  or on the computer for a couplehours.  of course that make my night time data worse.   grrr

What an incredibly stupid corporate decision - at least for the user.  Nothing but a nightmare for me.

And a nightmare for thousands of other (probably now former) customers.
