Whats your experience with Inspire 3?

I find my apple watch too much and want to downsize. I’ve been reading on the inspire 3 and have been reading mixed reviews.. Some people absolutely love it, there’s also a good number of people complaining about tracking accuracy.

Whats your take on the inspire 3?

Hi, @barry66, welcome to the community. I'm not familiar with the Apple watches, so I can't provide a comparison. Much depends on how you use your device on a day-to-day basis. The Inspire 3 is good at what it does, like all trackers, the "App" on your phone does most of the donkey work. It's no secret that more Fitbit devices are expected to be released this year. You may see prices come down as authorised sellers (always buy from an authorised seller to benefit from the warranty - do not confuse Amazon with Amazon marketplace!!) clear stock in anticipation.

I hope this helps.

Cheers

Hello @barry66 and @Gr4ndp4!  It's great to see you in the Community!

Thank you @Gr4ndp4 for your advice!

@barry66 As @Gr4ndp4 has indicated, it's important that you evaluate the activities for which you will use your tracker and, based on that, choose the model that best suits you. In the link below you can compare the functions, dimensions and specifications of the different models: Find your perfect fit.

I just received the Inspire 3 for Christmas.  I was able to view time, activities, etc.  however in the past week I'm unable to see the clock no matter what I do.  Right now all I'm getting are my e-mail alerts & some activities.  I've had the orig. FitBit, the LUXE & now the Inspire 3 (within the last 10 yrs) and have had problems with each of them.  I've had to return it a few times & received refurbished units.  I have friends that have the original watch (for the past 10 yrs) & no issues.  IU assume every product as "lemons".  Not pleased w/it at this time.

I won’t buy another & it’s only about 2-1/2 yr old.
I have issues with: auto wake, inaccurate step & distance recording on a daily basis when I walk, & the pins that hold the wristbands in place staying inserted into the watch casing.

The last two updates have made a world of difference.  I tried a Ringconn 2 alongside the Fitbit because I was having issues with sleep tracking, which were completely fixed from my perspective with the last two updates.  People talk about steps, and Fitbit may be a little generous, but nothing compared to Ringconn, which was completely wrong to the tune of 10,000 steps at times.  Some people may still complain about additional sleep, but it is far more reasonable because it completely tracks my sleep, even with somewhat longer wake times when I have to get up and clear my head.  It now tracks everything accurately.  Now, if I am up for two hours and go back to sleep for 2 hours, it treats that as additional sleep with no details. But in my experience, if I go to sleep for more than 4 hours in that scenario, it is still additional sleep, but it seems to give me the details of that sleep.  Now it has only happened once for me, so time will tell.  But I am now completely happy with the Fitbit Inspire 3.  I was lucky enough to have an extended trial of the Ringconn because I bought it before Christmas, which gave me until January 31 to send it back.

Mine is only 1 month old & experiencing issues already (unable to see clock face - as noted in my message above).  I went onto fitbit.com to get some assistance.  The bot asked a number of questions & suggestions & when I indicated I've tried all of these, it wanted to put me thru to a Fit-Bit Tech & charge me $5.  No-way, this tracker is brand new & I'm not going to pay for a tech adviser.  They have some nerve.  Never again !!!

Sometimes a complete reset will correct things. I had a problem where it
wouldn't keep track of the charging; it was just stuck in place, and I did
a complete reset, and it fixed the problem. I bought it from Amazon, and
if you go to your orders on Amazon, it will have an option to contact
support, and I got to talk to an expert real person. Google it to see a
YouTube Video
To perform a complete factory reset on a Fitbit Inspire 3, swipe down from
the main clock face to Settings, select Device Info, and tap Clear User Data
<>.
Hold the screen for 3 seconds to confirm the erasure. This process deletes
all personal data, apps, and settings, returning the device to its original
state.
Steps for a Complete Factory Reset (Clear User Data):

1. Wake the device: Ensure your Inspire 3 is on and awake.
2. Access Settings: Swipe down from the clock face until you find the
Settings app and tap to open it.
3. Find Device Info: Swipe up to locate and select Device Info.
4. Clear Data: Scroll down and tap Clear User Data.
5. Confirm: When prompted, press and hold for 3 seconds to initiate the
reset.
6. Completion: The device will restart and display a screen prompting
you to download the app, indicating it is ready to be set up as new.

Hi, @AiramD, that's the first time I've been told there was a $ charge!! To reach Fitbit help, go from your Fitbit app "Today" screen, touch your icon in the top right>help>help centre>swipe up to the bottom>contact us>complete steps 1&2 then contact options to reach a phone number or chat line.

Try restarting your Inspire 3 -

To restart your Fitbit Inspire 3, either use the built-in "Restart Device" setting in the app for a soft reset, or perform a hard restart by connecting to its charger and holding the buttons for 10 seconds until the logo appears, which is useful if the screen is unresponsive. Both methods safely reboot the device without data loss.
Method 1: Soft Reset (Using Settings)
    1. Wake the screen: Tap the screen or press the touch-sensitive buttons on both sides.
  • Open Settings: Swipe down from the top of the screen and tap on Settings (scroll up if needed).
  • Find Restart: Scroll down within Settings and tap Restart Device (you may need to scroll past Device Info).
  • Confirm: Tap Restart to reboot your tracker.

Method 2: Hard Restart (Using Charger)
Watch this video to see how to perform a hard restart on your Fitbit Inspire 3
  • Connect to Charger: Plug your Inspire 3 into its charging cable and a USB port.
  • Press & Hold: Press and hold the buttons (sides) on the tracker for about 10 seconds.

  • Release: Release the buttons when the Fitbit logo appears, and the device vibrates, indicating it's restarting.

I hope this helps, please post here again & let us know how you get on. PS There are several effective videos on YouTube demonstrating these procedures.

Cheers

hello Gr4ndp4,

thank you for your response & suggestions.  I finally was able to get my "clock face" back.  I just pressed the sides & the face.  I'll keep your trouble shooting suggestions in my FitBit file.  Yes I was appalled at the request to charge $'s for assistance,,,, again this was thru the FitBit site.  Thanks again

Hi, @AiramD I was not aware that there was a charge. Can you please let us know where you are and let us have a copy of the web address you describe as "FitBit site"?

Cheers

I went onto the Fit Bit site & went to questions about product (I think) I scrolled to my product (Inspire 3) and there was an on line chat.  As I indicated after the on-line chat (probably w/an AI unit) it referred me to a tech that could assist, once I paid a $5 fee

@AiramD pretty sure you got on the wrong site.  There is no charge to speak with Fitbit Customer Support.  You can find all the ways of getting in touch at contact.fitbit.com

Having said that, you can often get excellent help here in the Fitbit Community which is a peer-to-peer help site.

Squeezing the Inspire 3 (pressing both sides at once) is the standard way of returning to the clock face from other parts of the menu.  Glad you found it!

If you encounter other issues with your Inspire 3, please do try posting here.  As always, the more information you can provide, the more likely someone will be able to find a solution for you.  Good luck!

Mine is only 1 1/2 yrs old and does not track properly. It's always had issues where there's a long lag between steps taken and seeing them show up on the tracker. But it's worse than ever. This is my 2nd Fitbit and neither one has lasted very long. Today was the worst. I manually counted my steps and it is several thousand under-counted. No matter how often I restart the device and the app it doesn't help. My next device won't be a Fitbit.
