SpO2 Sensor

I see that a number of devices acquired O2 sensors following operating systems upgrades.

Is this possible for Inspire or HR?

I only got mine recently so am not in the market for a change at the moment!

Nice to see that you're digging into the Fitbit Forums @Spanners, let me give you a warm welcome to our community.

Thanks for reaching out about your questions regarding the SpO2 sensor in your Fitbit. In the future, this sensor could give consumers the opportunity to identify potential health issues like sleep apnea. We are still exploring how this would appear in the consumer experience with Fitbit Inspire HR, but such technology would use this sensor. Please let us know if you have any other questions.

We hope this helps.

Hi,

Please can you confirm whether the Inspire HR actually has an O2 sensor, as I am finding many articles and reviews which say that it is NOT equipped with such sensor (as opposed to other models, e.g. the Charge 3).

I have just purchased an Inspire HR, but intend to return it if it dose not have the O2 sensor or if this functionality is not going to be enabled soon.

Thanks, Stefano

@Spanners  @stefanorichmond   The information given by @LostEchoes is correct.  The Inspire HR doesn't have the SpO2 sensor.  The Estimated Oxygen Variation graph, currently in a roll out period, will be available on the Ionic, Versa Family and Charge 3.

Thanks Laurie, I see. I was led to believe that the Inspire HR was indeed equipped with the SpO2 sensor by the fact that the Estimated Oxygen Variation graph does appear in my Fitbit app - it is actually empty, but I thought it might be due to the fact that this functionality is being rolled out slowly and is not enabled for all users yet.

Anyway, now that I have this information, I will replace my Inspire HR with a Charge 3, thanks.
