I’m confused, calories burnt today was 2,730 and I didn’t do anything. I understand everything about BMR but do I have to carry a calculator everyday so I can deduct BMR from the Fitbit calorie total.
Any help would be appreciated.

As you say, this sounds like your BMR calories. Unfortunately, there is no way to exclude these from the calorie total nor can they be shown separately.
There is a feature suggestion to change this and if you'd like to add your vote you can find it at https://community.fitbit.com/t5/Feature-Suggestions/Separate-BMR-from-Activity-Calories-Burned-and-A...
Note though that this has been around for years and doesn't have many votes so I wouldn't hold your breath for a quick change.

Thanks for the reply. Well appreciated. I love this Fitbit but it’s shame. I’ll add my vote to the suggestion.
Cheers
