Are there any 2 factor authentication apps like Google Authentication or RSA SecurID soft token available for the Iconic.  That would be a very handy security tool ...

You're correct - user or account can be whatever you want. It's just a moniker to memorize what this account is for. I call accounts by the name of 2FA provider: Gooogle, Amazon, Twitter, Sonic, etc.

I've just released an app for iPhone. Connection is better than in Android's case, but there is still that annoying problem with comms between Fitbit device and iPhone when sync is pending. I've reported the issue and hope that Fitbit team will take a look. Meanwhile, please give it a try and let me know if you have any problems:
