Always On?

I'm a new user of the Fitbit Ionic, and so far all is going well with it. But I have something I would like to ask. I made a suggestion to customer service regarding a software update that would allow us the choice whether to have the screen on all the time or not. I'm sure there is a divided opinion on this, but for me, I would like the watch face to be on all the time, or at least have the option to chose. If I have to put the watch on charge perhaps every other day to accommodate this, I really don't mind. Besides, it doesn't take long to charge anyway. It can be on charge while watching a TV program at night, for example.

The customer service rep that I spoke to suggested that I post this and see if there is enough users interested in having this option implemented. Obviously, the engineers aren't going to work on something if there isn't sufficient interest from customers. So if you are, perhaps a phone call, or a note to whoever is looking after the forums. Thanks for reading.

Hi, @JerryIonic, I believe that there are already several third party apps that offer always on options.  (I am guessing that you would probably need to charge daily, if you opted for that, but, as you say, you can usually find a time on the evnening).

Edited to add: for example, the "Nothing special" clock face has that option.

To have a look at what is available, go to your Fitbit app, choose the Ionic icon and then choose clock faces.  There are lots!  The ones from Fit bit are free.  Some of the others you have to pay for.

Sense, Charge 5, Inspire 2; iOS and Android
