Amazon Music Fail

As an early adopter of the Ionic (Sept 2017, Surge and Blaze owner before that) and long time Amazon Music subscriber, I was extremely disappointed to hear today that Garmin has partnered with Amazon to make a music streaming app available on their watches ahead of Fitbit.

The Fitbit app platform has just never taken shape and except for trying a few apps out here and there, I haven't found one that felt essential to the experience.  Expanding the poor selection of music options that came out with the launch would have been a big boost and allowed many people to not have to carry their phones to listen to music streaming services during exercise, but Fitbit appears to be more than satisfied with maintaining their poor options.  I have pinged Fitbit a few times, along with Amazon Music, and even started a thread here a long time ago on the topic. But in almost two years of ownership, no progress.

Unless someone from Fitbit can publicly state in the very soon, certain future that an Amazon Music app is coming to their devices, my next purchase won't be a Fitbit.

@EPFB   According to this Feature Suggestion, an Amazon music app is Not Currently Planned.  That status hasn't changed.

I don't want to give false hope, but the leaks of the Versa 2 mention Alexa.  So I don't know if Fitbit might change their mind about Amazon Music or not.  I am not a Fitbit employee.  I don't have any more direct information than you do -- I just get it from the tech sites.

I hope this helps.
