Android 8 and Wallet not accessible

I have a working Fitbit Pay system.. no issues .. all works.. But today I knew I hadn't paid for some Cafe food and I couldn't prove that to the cashier because the Pay wallet didn't work. She thought I had paid.. But I was uneasy about that because we shop there every week.

This version of Android 8 was updated last week a day after App 2.65.1 arrived and updated, and now App 2.66 yesterday and after all of that, everything I do with Fitbit works.  So where the wallet failed to show transactions.. Who knows when that stopped..

So into my phone and check the Pay wallet... No luck,  all it wants to do is take me through the information screens and then install the wallet.. Of course it knows I have a pin, asks for that, but gets rejected because it can't communicate with the Ionic..  So close the wallet, and sync to the Ionic, that works, force stop the App and restart, that still syncs, phone rings and that comes onto the Ionic......

So I paid the bill, green tick, and that transaction showed on the Ionic..

I'm resisting going through a reinstall because I have had a successful pay and wallet system on V2.65.1 and Android 7.1.1 a week ago.. So updated App and/or Android 8 and this hiccup.....

Any ideas please.  Fitbit have replied to my email Support.. So far their only suggestions are restarts, phone and Ionic, clear cache etc

@SilviaFitbitThanks for keeping me posted... Fitbit Pay is still paying away.. every day and approx 150 Tap Pays per month for 5 months.. The only failures, less than 1% have been, out of date retail terminals, transmission errors x 2  where it thought my card was "hot".. and a couple of other transactions where the bank couldn't even help with the issue.  Probably the same rate when I use the ANZ Visa card manually tap....(same card)

In summary an excellent addition, and it causes many conversations because of my age... Even to the dear lady who asked me, "Do you remember Dick Tracy"... and the other day when I was paying and the lady at the next counter was using her Apple watch.. Smiley Tongue "Watches at 10 paces......"

I have no issues with my Ionic and we appreciate the major banks in Australia are proactive if you keep to the main players with credit cards..

@SilviaFitbit. Thanks for keeping and eye on this.. No change with the Wallet on App V2.67. When you click on the wallet it still wants to be installed.

I had one bad transmission today on the Fitbit Pay and the Decline message showed on the Ionic.. Retail terminal fault, nothing to do with Fitbit Pay.

Edited to allow posting.. With this email it doesn't like my user name in the body text.. so I have just typed my user name so there is no link.  Support have a case and examining it..
