Android 9 is not showing widget

Greetings! For the past few weeks my Fitbit widget has been displaying "Widgets are not supported on Android 8.0+ for now". Is there an upcoming fix for this? (Google Pixel 2 XL)

I have tried removing the widget and re-adding it as well as uninstalling/reinstalling the Fitbit app to no avail. Also, is there going to be a way for those of us who don't own a Windows or Mac PC to transfer music to our Ionic? This was one of the main reasons I upgraded to the Ionic and it is very frustrating not being able to take advantage of the feature. I was able to borrow a friends computer, but after a couple of hours of trying unsuccessfully I had to return it to him.  Thank youScreenshot_20180928-203458.png

Hey there @mising, thanks for stopping by! Thanks for taking the time to troubleshoot this inconvenience on your own, nice way to go!

This is the first time I heard something like this in regards the Widgets. I'm not sure if this may be related with the mobile phone you have, as it's not yet included in our list of supported devices. Note that the devices on this list have been confirmed as fully compatible with all features of Fitbit devices and the Fitbit app. While a phone or tablet may not be verified as fully compatible, the Fitbit app may still work with your device.

Our team routinely test new devices to ensure full compatibility with Fitbit devices and the Fitbit app, and are constantly working to confirm compatibility with new phone models. Be sure to verify that your phone meets the minimum operating system requirements. Note that the majority of Android phones running version 4.4 or higher will work with our products.

Please keep in mind that when a device is not supported we cannot guarantee its functionality with the Fitbit app. It might work at a certain time and then it can stop working out of nowhere after an update. This is because the app is not optimized to that device and any change could impact the performance.

Your idea about transferring music via phone is great! I was making some research and was able to find this idea asking for the same:

For anything else you would like to see implemented in the future, consider visiting our Feature Suggestions board. This is a space where Community users can post features, ideas, and suggestions that they'd like to see in future Fitbit products, accessories, and software and top-voted suggestions get relayed to our product team for review.

Let me know if there's anything else I may assist you with.

With my latest Android update on Android 8 I noticed the same.

I'm sorry to say but as the message states, this is not under the control of Fitbit but a decision made by Android.
