Your Fitbit app will neber sync with MFP. MFP will sync with your Fitbit account. Yes they currently are having issues.

As for access to the camera and photos please check your fit it's app permissions.

However I can not help without knowing what type of phone we are referring to.

Mine hasn't synced my weight or other info from myfitnesspal since APRIL. No communication or anything and yes saw the link indicating there a problem but no one is explaining what it is or if and how they are working on it or FIXING it.

Your problem sounds like a different one.

The normal advice in your situation is to unlinked Fitbit and myfitnesspal and then relink them.

I would wait until after this issue is resolved though. Because it won't work now anyhow.

@MsLadyZ. please follow the link to the MyFitnessPal update found in @SunsetRunner'a post above

------------

Today's MFP states that things may not get back until hopefully on Thursday

This is because every sync request from any user account simply gets added to the back of the line

-----------

It is true that MFP did not say what the problem is, but as the Fitbit post update says we have confirmation the issue was with MFP.

Every post has specifically stated that their is nothing that the user is able to do. The issue and its fix is with MFP.

The good news is that MFP has found the problem and has fixed the problem. However with almost a week of data there is a backlog for MFP to sync.

MFP has asked users who have revoked access to hold off linking until MFP catches up with the current unsynced data. This is simply because trying to add your Fitbit account to MFP will simply place the request at the end of the que and add to the delay as @SunsetRunner pointed out.

So what is that you can do? Nothing but wait.

Please read the update on MFP since this is who needed to resolve the issue. Yes it is always better to go to the source(MFP), rather then asking the victim (fitbit)

I've already tried unlinking and relinking. I try all the troubleshooting steps before I come here to complain about sync issues that are frequent occurrences. 🙂

As Fitbit and others have mentioned this sync issue is on MFP end.

They have asked users who are still having issies to contact them

Sure you can complain to fellow Fitbit users about a problem that in on MyFitnessPal, but we do not work for MFP and will not be able to help you. Please reach out to MyFitnessPal as they have requested.

At least please read their latest update on this issue that they are having.
