Auto pause gets enabled automatically

I don't care so much for the auto pause feature so I turn it off. (Using in run mode, but I'm jogging/walking with dogs that stop to sniff and pee and other fun dog stuff, making it a very annoying feature).

So, I finish running with the dogs, end the workout and get on with my morning. Then I like to go for a run by myself and find, every time, that the auto pause feature has turned itself on again. Is there any way to disable until I choose to turn it back on? I would prefer that. 🙂

thanks very much.

Check your settings in the website, you have to log in. Go to https://www.fitbit.com/settings and disable auto-pause for your exercise. Save your settings, go to the fitbit app in your phone and sync again

This is happening to me too. The auto pause used to work well. Starting on Oct 1, the auto pause is awful!! I turned it off. Made sure it was off on the watch AND app....and during my bike ride today, looked down during a stop and it was paused!! I unpaused it and at the next stop it paused again. I haven’t updated to iOS 13 yet so I don’t know what the issue is but it is really making me angry. I have the most up to date Fitbit app and software.

Log into https://www.fitbit.com/settings from your browser (preferably from a computer) and disable auto pause for your exercise. Save your settings and sync again in the fitbit app. Hope this fix your problem

Although I have turned off auto pause for run and bike (the only exercise modes with an auto pause option in Settings), it regularly pauses regardless of the exercise mode (especially annoying in “workout” mode)

My issue has been resolved. Apparently my new gloves were pushing the buttons. I now don’t ride with gloves on my watch hand.

How did you manage to auto pause bike workouts please? My charge 4 doesn’t seem to have the option

I had the same problem with biking went for 45 minutes never stopping and it gives me barely half an hour of exercise and mapped only half my route 2 days in a row I was getting really pissed and about to send the watch in the garbage until I read this. I turned the auto paused off and I guess I will give it another try and see if that works
