Battery Life

Just used my Ionic today for the first time to track a bike ride (only had it a week) - had 73% at the start of the ride and did 20.5 miles; however, did not realise the screen doesn't time out during an exercise and the battery died 0.5 miles from home after just 1.3 hours.

I've now found the screen auto off function but how long can I realistically expect the watch to last when using GPS with the screen off?

I'm loving the watch overall so far but if it can't support a two hour bike ride (usual length of cycling time) it's a bit redundant to me!

Hello @Vasay after swiping over to the bike (or any exercise), tap the setting gear in the top right. Now swipe up and disable All ways on

My FitBit live for 9 hours of recording a GPS track with the screen off (though such a long trip will not be seen on the site due to poor FitBit site).

And approximately 2 hours with the screen on.

ps if you want to have a permanently on screen before your eyes - take a watch with transflective screens (for example, Garmin) AMOLED consumes a lot of battery

Thanks for the information re expected life with screen off - very useful.

I have my Fitbit app connected to my Strava account so all the data ends up there which is brilliant.
