Battery life not lasting

It seems I suddenly have to charge my ionic daily or more. I used to easily get 5 days out of it. I am getting really frustrated  with such an expensive product not working so quickly.

I have this exact same issue. It all started with a software update about a week ago.

Since then I have factory reset a couple of times, and removed all my apps on it. Restarted a few times, even updated it over Bluetooth instead of WiFi to see if that makes any difference.

None of that has helped!

Let’s see if and how @Fitbit helps!

Hi @Fragileice37, welcome to the Community Forums! It's nice to see you again participating here @ThatKarmaThing, welcome back.

Let me share with you that the battery of our Fitbit Ionic was designed to last 5 days but this also depends on how frequently you use it’s features. That said, I recommend you guys charging your Fitbit device with a USB port from a computer or a UL-certified outlet into the wall and then turn off all the features that you don’t use that much. After doing so, please this help article for more tips and recommendations.

Such article includes as restart process that will refresh the device's performance.

Keep me posted, I’ll be right here if you need anything else.

Yeah the features I bought it for are the ones they say to turn off. Kind
of defeats the purpose if I have to turn them off. I have been on this ride
with the old surge and apparently now this one. I expect to get more than a
year out of something so expensive. Between that at fitbit taking things
away features I used to have free access to and making it premium...I am
really investigating a different brand.
