I start with a fully charged battery. A lot of places it is searching for a gps signal. Probably my location. It seems that this uses a lot of battery and I end up with a dead battery before I’m done with my activities or end up with false data. Any recommendations?

Hello @Tomk57, welcome to the Community Forums!
I appreciate the information that was shared with me, certainly your Ionic isn't working as the way it was designed. To better assist you with this, can you please let me know if the battery life of your device is affected only when using GPS or recording an activity? When you're not performing any activity, how many days the battery of your device last? When was the first time you experienced this and how many times since then? In the meantime I receive your answers, please restart your Ionic and check: Can I extend my Fitbit device's battery life? for tips to improve battery life.
Keep me posted and let me know if you have any additional questions.

Hi RIcardo I restarted the ionic. I charged the device yesterday and haven’t used it. Today it reads 85. It really seems that the battery dies in about 4 hours when I use the GPS. Do you think it’s because that it’s searching for a signal? I have read how to extend my fitbit’s battery life. This device is less than a year old.
