Best Buy Partnership

I just bought my Ionic at the local Best Buy about 5 months ago and it just went blank a couple of days ago, don't know what happened.  So thinking I could go back to Best Buy and somehow exchange or get a refund I find out that Fitbit and Best Buy no longer have a partnership.  You can purchase your Fitbit from there, but after that it's all on Fitbit.  I love the Ionic though, but this is the second time that the watch has just gone blank on me.  I hate to leave Fitbit but I am going to gift the replacement tracker that is on it's way to me but I have purchased a Samsung Gear (what I have been wanting) instead.  Keep waling folks

When I purchased a Fitbit device about a year ago from Best Buy, they were very clear that their part of the guarantee is only for the 45 day return period. After that, the warranty was with Fitbit. Are you sure your new device will be covered by Best Buy for the duration of the warranty?

You know I may have forgotten about them telling us about the return policy when we bought it and I wasn't upset or anything I was just scratching my head about it.  I assume that Fitbit will honor the year warranty for the replacement tracker so my friend's wife will be able to use it if needed.  I bought it in Jan this year and it has worked like a charm but I also know that nothing lasts forever, well at least longer than 6 mos.  I'm ok though, I'm gifting the replacement to a friend's wife.  Thanks so much for the reply Carol...keep walking
