Fitbit Ionic will not sync. Have removed, re-paired, restarted multiple times. Sync & notifications not working. Getting very old and frustrating! Maybe it’s time for an Apple Watch!!

You say Bluetooth parting fails,
Matt I am is this the Ionic Bluetooth or the ionic Classic bluetooth?
Have you received any wet messages?
Is this and Android, Apple, or iPhone?
If it is the ionic Bluetooth, not classic, the user can not pair the tracker to the phone, this pairing must be done by the app or the ionic will not be able to sync.
If you have managed to pair the ionic Bluetooth to the he phone through the phones Bluetooth, it must be removed.
Then open the app and it should attempt to pair and sync.
M assuming the ionic has not been removed from the Fitbit's account.

I have the same problem as well. Could not syn.
I think it is to do with the recent software app update (for the phone and computer).
I have removed, and tried to add the ionic adidas, but I cannot add the ionic.

People need to stop telling Fitbit that they do not want to use their tracker that isn't syncing.
Removing the tracker from ones Fitbit account will only add problems.
The cause of the sync problem will still need to be fixed.
@firely0071 I don't see any mention of the phone your having problems with.
Have you removed the ionic from the phone's list of Blurtooth devices? That is step one.
Step to is to make sure that the app is up to date.
Restart phone
Restart ionic.
Why won't my Fitbit device sync?

Neglected to mention that I’m using an iPhone 7, my apologies. I have tried every recommendation suggested multiple times and the issue persists.

I ended up deleting the paired ionoic on my Sony phone/
I have tried to add the ionic on two different phones. My sony which did sync in the recent past and on a HTC (never had fitbit on).
I deleted the ionic and tried to add on the Sony - did not work. The app is the latest (updated in the last week).
With the HTC, I downloaded the fitbit app from the store and used a different account.
Could not add the ionic.
While I could have stuffed up twice on two different phones in adding/pairing the ionic, I do not think it is either phone.
The sony was and is still paired with a Charge 2. Still syncs etc.
(Ionic adidas).

A Fitbit tracker does not get setup to a phone but gets setup to a Fitbit account. To switch phones, a user simply loads the app into the new phone and signs into their account.
The app gets your trackers ID from the cloud and process top assume the tracker.
Well they title of this thread says that pairing to the phone fails, can of course it will fail, the user is not supposed to pair a Fitbit too the phone.

There is an Android phone above, which simply gives the message, "tracker not found", I have been trying to figure out which phone and where a failure to be pair message is seen by or if it is even is a message. It could have been the user trying to pair directly and saying it failed.

I installed newest app update but same problems still exist. At this point, I have unpaired my Fitbit and using it as a watch. I have several screen caps of error messages which I can to provide to whomever.

Agreed. I have an iPhone XR and Ionic and keep getting a 'Bluetooth pairing failed' message on my iPhone everytime I sync, however they do seem to be syncing OK. This message has only started appearing recently. I have had no previous issues with syncing over the last 2 years. I assume a bug needs fixing in the fitbit code?
