Hey there @fabiov, it's nice to see you here! If your phone is managing multiple Bluetooth connections simultaneously:

  • Your Fitbit device might stop syncing or stop receiving notifications.
  • You can experience interruptions with any consistently streaming Bluetooth connection such as headsets, car kits, stereo audio, tethering, and file transfers.

These interruptions are typically caused by operating system and Bluetooth limitations. It's also possible that an app on your phone is causing the issue.

If you have an Android phone, try these steps:

  1. Turn off the Always Connected option in the Fitbit app.
  2. Disable other Bluetooth connections when not in use.
  3. Check to see if your phone has an app compatible with Ford Motor Company's voice control system. If so, disable Bluetooth on the app if possible or uninstall it.

The API used in these apps makes it difficult for Fitbit to communicate reliably with your phone. Ford provides a list of apps but note that other companies may use the API as well.

If you want to connect a Bluetooth audio device to your Fitbit Ionic, check this article for instructions.

Let me know if you need further help! Smiley Very Happy

Hello,

My Ionic won't pair with my Soundpeats Q10 bluetooth headphones. It finds them, but won't pair. I just keep getting the "Pairing..." message, but it never actually pairs. The headphones connect with my iPhone and Echo no problem, so I don't think the problem is on the Q10's end. Any ideas?

Today I attempted to pair my new Iconic with Jabra Halo BT headphones, which work fine with my iphone. After trying for a good 30 minutes I called the helpdesk and after the basic reset the watch and headphones test the rep told me that Fitbit engineers are working on this known problem Based upon posts in the community for over 2 months.

I ran a development group and this is unacceptable for being open for 2 months.

Hi Maria,

As I am new to Fitbit community I'm just trying to understand your role as Moderator. Do you get any updates regarding the status of this problem?

I am also trying to pair my Ionic with my Jabra headset.  It won't pair.  I will keep trying in the hopes that they fix this.

I just figured it out.  If it's still not working for you, try this:

-turn off your headset

-on Ionic tap New Device

-turn headset back on but keep "on" button pressed.  (have headset in your ear so you can hear if it is connected).

Mine connected at that time.

Good luck

teenseee,

Thank you for your suggestion. I actually did try this on the day I posted and it didn't work. However, I gave it another shot today and it did pair and connect. Thanks again.

Hey all,

Thanks for the suggestions. I started having trouble pairing even to my phone after a while. Deep Googling led me to restart my Ionic (hold down left button and bottom right button until it vibrates and Fitbit logo appears). Once it fired back up, I was able to pair to both my phone and the Bluetooth headphones. Didn't lose any data, and even synced the data from my Ionic from the days I wore it without it being connected to my phone,.

I was also having this problem with my versa and I tried resetting it like others have said but it still didn't work. I figured out my issue was because my headphones were paired with my phone too. Once I unpaired them with my phone they found the fitbit right away! 🙂

Hi,

I've always successfully connected my Jabra elite active earbuds but for some reason today, it just won't connect to it.

1. I've tried resetting my ionic.

2. turning off all other bluetooth and the Always Connected option in the Fitbit app

3. Have also bluetooth tested and have successfully paired my other devices just not my Jabra.

It picks up the bluetooth signal and the device name but when it trys to pair, i just get "connection failed".
