Hi all --
I am at wit's end with my Ionic. It stopped syncing with my (brand new) Galaxy S8 a couple weeks ago, so I thought all I had to do was update to the new firmware. I have tried reinstalling the fitbit app on my phone, updating over my computer, installing the update over wifi, hard resetting my Ionic, and every possible solution you can think of to update it. Nothing works, I get an update failed message every time. In fact, after I tried unpairing my watch from my phone, I can no longer pair my watch at all anymore and can't access the settings now because (of course) it won't connect via bluetooth. I should have known it wouldn't repair. My watch is only two months old, it should not be having this many issues. Is there ANYTHING else I can try?

maybe try an older version of Fitbit app? Go to Google type in Fitbit APK and see what happens? or may have to do a factory reset on the Ionic.
It's half baked software they rushed and released this to generate some sales revenue for Xmas, but it's sadly backfired, I don't think the do much QC in regards to their software, just release it bugs and all and hope for the best.
My suggestion, go to Polar or Garmin, because sadly as much as I like the idea of Fitbit, they are becoming a new Jawbone... way of the dodo.
