I tried wiping it down with warm water... No luck. I called customer support and sent pictures and they suggested I use rubbing alcohol, and that did nothing at all. When I called support back I was told the discolouration was "cosmetic" and they wouldn't do anything. I work a desk job away from chemicals, it hasn't been in a pool - I wear my Ionic to workout and to track sleep. I'm appalled that support would tell me there is nothing they would do and I'm stuck with a 400 dollar tracker that looks like crap after only a couple of months of use.
Is this type of support typical for Fitbit? Has anyone else experienced the case finish changing colors?

Mine has some strange discoloration on the underside... I guess it's from sweat. I tried to clean it but with no luck so far... Gave up at one point... I tried with soap and a toothbrush... I did not want to risk damaging the watch (HR sensor area in particular) using other various chemicals.
I only ran and bike with it... also went to the pool a few times. It did NOT see any salt water or sunscreen creme/oil in it's life. I did not use it at the beach either, try to keep electronics away from sand as much as possible. The discoloration started to show up after 40-50 days.... I wear my watch 24/7.
I will try to post some pictures later... watch is at home, I did not used it for the last 3 months... I guess I could say that I gave up on the Ionic.... experiment.... I am sorry, it was a good looking watch that had a lot of potential but...

I have the exact same issue with a 2-month old Ionic.
Did Fitbit do anything about it? Does it work to open a complain?
sorry for resurrecting an old post, but I didn't want to open a thread with the same issue.
