As I do some travelling to European cities and have my vacation in a campervan in England, I do not bring my lap-top with me.
I will of course like to wear my new Ionic as I walk a lot when visiting cities, and one of the main reasons for buying the Ionic is to count my steps anywhere.
Do I from now on have to bring my computer with me when travelling, which by the way will make it difficult to charge the Ionic when I am in the campervan.
I hope I may use the charger for my Huawei Nexus 6P Smartphone.

You do not need a computer to charge your Fitbits. A regular plug in USB charger will work provided you make sure the transformer is appropriate for the location. Most chargers these days are dual 110 and 220 compatible and you just need to make sure you have the appropriate plugs for the outlets.
