Charging cable magnets

So since my last charging in a day or so, my blaze charging cable instead of being attracted to my blaze charge port is now pushes apart(repel).  How in the world would the polarity switch like that and i can not charge the blaze, so its basically useless now.  Appreciate some help

So I went to attach my Ionic (3 months old) to the charger (it's magnetic and usually just pulls itself right on) it won't attach. I tested it with another small magnet to see which has the issue. The charger itself still has magnetic pull or whatever it just won't connect to my fitbit. I've wiped down inspected my Ionic it is fine. If I hold them together they connect and charge,  but only as long as I'm holding them in place. Any ideas?

Have you cleaned the contacts on the Ionic?  I find that with my devices if the contacts aren't clean, they do fall off the charger, as there is no clear connection between them and the charger.

I did. It isn't working. It is actually literally repelling it. But a little ways down it is pulling it in. I wonder if there is a strip in there that may have slid down?

Sounds like a hardware failure. Whatever the magnet is attracted to inside seems to have moved. I think the only option is to return it to the store you purchased it from or contact fitbit support. Hopefully you can exchange it under warranty.

I assume you are talking about the Ionic as opposed to the Blaze.

At a guess it would seem whatever inside the Ionic the magnets are attracted to has moved. I'm not sure there is anything you can do to fix this yourself, so your best option is to contact fitbit customer support. They should be able to tell you what your warranty options are.
