Not too worried, notifications are gone now. More concerned about updating my ionic. Think I'll pass til a further update is available. Thanks anyway.

@TracyWilkins, it's great to see you around!

I'm happy to know that the notifications are gone. Now regarding the Firmware update, you can proceed with this by following the suggested steps here: How do I update my Fitbit device? or Why can't I update my Fitbit device?

If you're encountering any inconvenience, please let me know. On a side note, I've moved your post to another board to have our Forums organized.

Keep me posted.

Thanks for that. I know how to update but not going to. Read the horror stories on here and will wait for the next bugs and fixes update. Want to keep my ionic working. Had it four years and not keen to break it even if I do have 3 other fitbit back ups.

Agreed; the latest update seems to be generating a significant number of "bricked" Ionic trackers.  I too will be skipping this latest update.

I agree with skipping the update to 72.19.  Wish I would have checked here first.  Completed the update about two hours ago and discovered that my touch screen no longer functions.  Tried re-starting, tried a factory re-set and the issue still remains.  Contacted FitBit support and they decided to send me "warranty options" after I explained the situation.  Sounds like my watch issue is terminal.  Did the upgrade case this?  Hmmmm...  I would say yes since it was working fine minutes before the upgrade.  Waiting for warranty options for my watch which I bought a little over one year ago.

@molifer at least you have warranty options.  My watch is 4 years old.  I have no chance 😂
