Found a solution and now my Samsung s4 connects to ionic and links to app, abd get email, phone, etc notifications.
The solution i found was turn on blutooth, turn off phone completely for around 15 secs+. Restart phone blutooth is on but wont ask or do a scan yet blurhooth remains on.
Then connect to normal wifi and then the phone links to app.
Seems if blutooth asks for a scan or scans found the ionic wont link.
