When I got my ionic I was quite excited about using the contactless payment feature. I was bit disappointed that only a handful of uk banks have signed up to it but opened a new account anyhow. Over the last 4 weeks the contactless intermittently works when trying to pay by coffee, on the tube and in shops which is rubbish. Is there fault with the ionic contactless feature or is it just not as good as the apple watch or Apple Pay ? Any help appreciated

@SunsetRunner Welcome to the Fitbit forums! Thanks for taking the time to share the experience you are having with Fitbit Pay so far. Thanks for sharing all of those details regarding it.
Please confirm the following:
Something you can do is performing a restart on your watch. This should refresh its inner components and should help you.
You could also try removing the card and re adding it. This could also help you out.
Hope this helps. Keep me posted!

Thanks - yes already tried all these tips.
The issue is consistency.
My main use is London Underground and I go through the same gates 5 days of the week. At least every 2nd attempt the card reader does not accept the Fitbit contactless payment. Some times I have to enter my passcode and sometimes the watch does not prompt me and there seems no correlation between working or not working.
google pay and apple pay seem to work fine on the card reader just not my Fitbit watch which is really disappointing.
It seems to be a hardward/software issue with the ionic.
