I see the elevation change on the summary under the hike exercise. I want to see my current elevation while hiking. It obviously tracks the data. How can we get this added? Hiking doesn’t make sense without elevation.

As I understand it, elevation is not available at the moment. However i believe there is an app being developed that will do this. Not sure when it will be available, but I would think fairly soon.

Hi @Catosr24,
I haven't used the Hiking exercise mode, so I'm not sure what statistics are available for it. I do know that you can customize the stats that show up on the watch for each exercise mode. Check out this article for how to do that.
Edit: I just added Hike to the Ionic, and unfortunately elevation is not one of the real-time statistics. We've seen an altimeter app being developed, but it would be a separate app, and you likely wouldn't be able to view it while in Hike mode. As far as I know from the documentation, outside developers won't have access to modify Ionic exercise modes at present.
I would recommend starting a thread in the Feature Suggestion board requesting that elevation be added as a custom statistic in Hike mode. That way others can vote for it, and with enough votes, Fitbit may implement it.
