I have tried for 3 days now to do the latest firmware update on my ionic with no luck. 6x at home (4 on wi-fi and 2 with blue tooth). I even removed the device from my phone and app and still no luck. Brought it into work to try over the wi-fi there. 2 attempts and after about 3 hrs ea, it would come up and say wi-fi update failed. So then I found my dungle and tried it with fitbit connect on my computer (2x) both ran for about 1:45 min. and fitbit connect would just shut off. Got a hold of the live chat, which I truly feel is just automated responses based on the answers I got to my comments. They came to the conclusion that since it is out of warranty, (17 months old) that my only option was to take a discount email that is only good for 30 days for either 40% off the new Versa lite elite or 25% off any other fitbit item. I said thanks and explained that I have had 4 surges, 3 of which were under warranty replacement and now this Ionic, that I don't think I will be using their discount to purchase anymore fitbit items. He then replied is there anything else he could do for me and I said sure can you get me a Discount for an Apple Watch. He quickly replied "that is not possible". Bye Bye Fitbit......

I've tried everything as well, I've wasted evening on forums and help sections, removed and reinstalled devices several times and like yourself, tried multiple wifi connections and everything has failed. I'm giving up on fitbit as well.
