Dead Ionic Fitbit

I woke up to my 18-month-old Ionic Fitbit dead today with a full battery. I tried pressing down all three buttons for about 3 seconds, and nothing. Any suggestions.  I have owned fit bits since you had to clip them.  Very disappointed.  What is your experience with the Ionic?

Welcome to the club. Mine (also ~18 months old) also died yesterday. Looking through the forums seems to be a common problem. Fitbit offered me the chance to buy a new one at a slight discount (~$150, vs ~$200 on Amazon). The company seems to feel an 18 month lifespan is reasonable for a smart watch.

This does not seem right.  I have had several models of Fitbits and they have never gone bad. I just kept upgrading. Which is why I was not too concern about the price tag of the new ionic watch. This is too much of an expensive item to say that 18mos  is an average life span for a fitness watch. I may have to look at the Apple watch as a replacement.  Thanks for your feedback.
