I bought a New Ionic. It started showing wrong step count. Called customer support, they sent me a replacement but I don’t know weather it was new or refurbished.
Within 2-3 weeks the replaced device had the same problem. Called up Customer support again.
They again suggested to repleace but with a REFURBISHED one.
My question is when I paid full price for a NEW one Why should I get a REFURBISHED one for a DEFECTIVE device.

I empathise @Kunal_prasad. I was offered a replacement ionic the other day. On questioning, it too is likely to be refurbished.I have also been asked to send my existing ionic back first then wait for the replacement. My concern is that the replacement will simply have similar or other problems to mine so I'll end up with an older used product, still with problems. I understand that Fitbit test their refurbished devices prior to reissuing but some problems don't emerge until it's been used a few days.
If it's within the warranty period then I would expect a brand new device.
Progressed through Fitbit One, Flex, Charge, Alta, Alta HR, Charge 2, Blaze, Flex 2 and now Ionic.

...and that refurbished fitbit doesn't get a new warranty start date. So do they really have incentive to make sure that one is good to go or just good enough to get you over the year mark?
Love always,
