New here and new to the Iconic, although have owned the Charge HR and the Charge 2.
Can someone pls explain what is the wifi used for? do I need wifi to get weather or is that transmitted via bluetooth from my phone?
When I connect to my wifi router, it does not seem to stay on. Is that by design to save power and only connects when needed or is my Iconic not working? The status on the watch shows wifi off

From the Ionic documentation available in the app:
"Ionic connects to Wi-Fi to download new music and apps and for faster firmware updates. For best results, use your home or work Wi-Fi network. "
Wi-Fi won't stay on. You have to go into the app and turn it on (it will come on automatically in the above situations). When you leave the app it disconnects.
Weather syncs whenever you sync via that app.
