I'm beyond frustrated at this point. Fitbit announced that the integration was coming in 2018, so I bought my Ionic last spring. There have been no updates other than the original PR announcements. I would return this Ionic right now if I had a way to do it. This stinks.

Fitbit doesn't care. If they did, the feature would be working and released. 1+ years is pathetic.

At the moment, there is no information about when the Fitbit app will work with the Dexcom app. Once any update be available it will be communicated as soon as possible. Our team is constantly working to improve the Fitbit experience and appreciate all the feedback.

All communications stated it would happen in 2018. This was poorly managed communication at best, and deceptive at worst. I'm so incredibly disappointed since I was perfectly happy with my Charge 2, but upgraded to the Ionic last Spring because of your communications and press releases!! Now I have the Ionic, which I only bought because of the supposed Dexcom Integration.

Will Fitbit refund my money for the watch, because I don't want it if there won't be integration. I trusted the company when it stated integration would happen in 2018, and bought this watch instead of others that already support the integration.

We have a 45 Day Satisfaction Return Policy for products purchased at the Fitbit Store. You mentioned that your Ionic was bought last Spring, on this case I am afraid it is out of the 45 day policy.

@LizFitbit, I just saw your post on this associated feature suggestion. As you can tell, there are a lot of vocal (and likely much more non-vocal) advocates of this integration. It would be good for the community, and likely for the Fitbit brand all up, if you could provide a bit more transparency here...

Does Fitbit intend to show real-time Dexcom data on one or more of the Fitbit devices? Either intermediated by a phone or directly connected to the Dexcom sensor? If yes, do you have a timeline you can share for when such an integration would be available?

To be honest, we've been waiting for this for a long time and anything, even a flat "no, at this time we're not planning to integrate with Dexcom in any way" would be better than the planned uncertainty Fitbit is currently imposing on us. Thanks!

Hi KarlSi, my son has Type 1, and I am considering getting him the Series 4 to work with his Dexcom G6. It's a big investment, but I can't find much info online. Do you still have to carry your phone with you to have the watch sync with your meter? Do you have to carry your meter with you, too? I'm trying to eliminate the need for him to carry so much (phone, meter, pump)...

Yes, unfortunately even with the cellular watch you still have to carry the iPhone with you or it doesn’t work. I hope they fix this someday.

But aside from that, I just had my best A1C ever after using the watch for a month (and G6 for 5 months vs. G5). Even though I am no fan of Apple, I cannot recommend this highly enough, despite the cost. I had to buy an iPhone (which I hate), so if he already has an iPhone your cost will be much less than mine was. But well worth it! And he can leave the receiver at home as long as the watch is charged. I charge about ever 3 days.

The best feature is to add the DexCom G6 as a “Complication” to one of the Watch faces that supports it (not all do, but for example Mickey Mouse does—I use the one called Modular with the DexCom G6 number right in the big middle spot.

Every time you check the time, you are checking your BS too! Pretty low key.

One question would be why did Fit bit mislead the public by stating in would be out in 2018?  It is December and still no word. Disappointed is an understatement.

IMHO this is poor job of Fitbit PR department.They do not understand the difference between usual fitbit users and users needed Dexcom G6 app.

Fitbit PR guys do not understand, that fitbit watch could be much more than a nice livestyle device on wrist, that each day in live of Dexcom G6 user is a fight against own body, without any chance to win but with a chance not to loose and G6 app could be a small but helpful "gun" in this fight.

I am dissapointed that Fitbit over 1 year after they said they would integrate Dexcom with a Fitbit watch no progress from a users point of view. Fitbit can you now give a firm date to when use Dexcom and Fitbit will "speak together and we can see our Blood sugar level on a Fitbit watch

A Dexcom G6 isn’t a phone. It’s a medical device with Bluetooth connectivity to monitor blood sugar levels. It would be amazing to have this on my watch instead of carrying my phone everywhere to check readings.

I'm aware it's not a phone.  It was advertised the Fitbit Ionic was going to be compatible to the Dexcom G6 system.

I wish I could provide you with more information, but we haven't received other news about this integration with Dexcom. Any updates about this integration with Fitbit will be provided in this Feature Suggestion of the Community. The current status of the idea is Not Currently Planned, however, this suggestion is still open for votes to continue to track community demand over time.
