I've received a Fitbit Ioniq watch last Christmas as a gift, and I've been very pleased with it so far. However, I went for a quick bike ride last week while slight rain was falling and got back home to discover that something was wrong with my watch. I noticed that the display was flicking, and I couldn't see the layout clearly (vertical glitch lines). Whatever the problem is, it seems to perturb the screen display only, without affecting the actual functions of the watch. I immediately associated the issues to the fact that it received droplets of water during my exercise since I don't usually go outside while raining, nor wear the watch when I'm in the water. I was a bit disappointed by that since the Ioniq watch is marketed and advertised as water-resistant. As I said, I've been very pleased with the product, but I would like to see how to mitigate this unfortunate event.
I've been looking up into reviews and blogs about the same kind of situation to figure that it is reportedly a recurrent problem with this specific model of Fitbit. People are reporting display failure due to mild water exposure.
Thanks for your assistance.
