Reluctantly did the latest update. Reluctant because everything was working fine but I was hoping they updated the swim split times facility - wrong again.
Now I get two different distance readings in the app - for example - yesterday I ran 5.11km however in the app itself its says I ran 5.01km
Three days ago - similarly - 6.08km v 5.99km
Whats the story?

@BradMcCormick It's great to see you around. Thanks for letting me know that you updated your Fitbit Ionic.
Every time there's a firmware update, Fitbit will update the what's changed in the latest Fitbit OS update article.
All devices with GPS sensors require a direct path to GPS satellites to calculate location. A weak GPS signal might affect the accuracy of your route and other activity data. Your device uses your step count to calculate distance until it finds a signal, so the total distance calculated for a workout may be slightly less accurate when GPS isn't available for the entire time. Could you let me know if you're tracking distance using another GPS app?
Let me know how it goes.

Hello, I am having this issue as well on walks, runs, and on the treadmill. Has there been a fix? I updated my Ionic last week but I am still having this issue as of this morning, 12/11/19

Thank you. Please do not forget to get back as I (and I’m sure many more
people) use the watch to train and measure results so inaccuracy is not an
option. Thank you and I look forward to a solution as soon as possible.

Any idea if the inaccuracy in the GPS has been fixed? Almost every run I’ve had since late December is at least .05 miles to half mile or more off from the tracking app I use on my phone. Today’s run was .12 miles off
