Distance accuracy after update

Ever since I updated the fitbit software, it has been off compared to my other apps. For example, mapmyrun had my pace at 8:33 and Fitbit had it at 8:51. Also, my watch will say 6.0 miles but when it syncs with Strava, Strava will show a different distance like 5.84. Fitbit also changed my weight from 140 to 380!! I did not make that change. I noticed because I ran 8 miles and it said I burned 2000 calories which didn't seen right. Then it doesn't always sync. It says device not found. I tried logging out, restarting the Fitbit, uninstalling and reinstalling . Nothing has worked. What's going on? Why is this happening? Is there anything else I can try to fix this?

@Juliekuj16 Welcome to the Community. Thanks for the details mentioned and the troubleshooting tried.

Each app and tracker will use a different algorithm to track your information. This is why you won't see the same data tracked with your apps and Ionic. Could you compare your Ionic's data between days?

You may want to check this article to learn more about: How does my Fitbit device calculate my daily activity? Regarding your weight change, please make sure that your account isn't open in any other device, if someone else is able to check your account such as a friend or a familiar, this confusion can happen and your personal information could be changed.

In regards to your watch not syncing, please try the troubleshooting mentioned in this article: Why won't my Fitbit device sync?

I'll be around if you have any additional questions.

Thank you for your response. Nobody else has access to my account that I'm aware of. I use Strava to track my runs which is launched directly from my fitbit watch. I'm not sure how if fitbit is using Strava to track my runs, then why is the watch telling me one thing and the app the other when they are running in the same application? This doesn't make sense to me especially when it used to be accurate and it no longer is since I updated the fitbit software. Also, my step count is all over the place. I attached pictures to show what the app showed vs what my watch showed. I've tried restarting both my phone and the fitbit. Uninstalling, reinstalling, etc. And still having these issues. Is there a way to recalibrate? Could that help? Thank you again for your help in troubleshooting.

Ever since the last firmware update, I am having all sorts of GPS issues with the Ionic as well. If I zoom in on what tracks (if it tracks), it's a jagged line, and the pace and distance is way off as a result. The point of the Ionic over another Fitbit is the built in GPS, so having that not work since the update is frustrating.

I can't say I share some of the issues (at least, not that I know of) but I can confirm the latest update broke the GPS on the device.

@Juliekuj16 Thanks for getting back. I appreciate the troubleshooting tried.

In this case, I've shared your post with our Support team and they will continue assisting you through email. It's pretty weird that you're doing around 25.000 steps and only receiving 2.86 miles.

@Kyle_w_h Thanks for sharing your experience with Ionic.
