I am enjoying my new Fitbit Ionic. Even though I am tracking the GPS of runs on my fitbit, and my fitbit is connected to MapMyRun, the run data is not transferring. What am I missing? Please help.

Hello, this is taken from MapMyFitness website
"Troubleshooting
Activities and stats are not syncing to MapMy account
At this time we are only able to sync steps and sleep from Fitbit. These will appear in MapMy as part of your total daily steps count on the 24/7 tab of the website and app. Steps from Fitbit should sync to MapMy at the end of each day (around midnight), so if you are not seeing your steps, please wait until the following day and scroll backward to the previous day to view your total."
Fitbit only natively exports .csv and .xls files, while MapMyFitness accepts workout imports in .tcx .gpx .hrm .fit formats

Thanks! So the answer is NO. Bummer. Wish they would. Guess I'll look into strava for 2018.

Actually, I was curious and did a bit more investigation. There is a way to individually download GPS data in .tcx format for activities that you've tracked with GPS enabled. I tested it and you could manually import workout to MapMyRun somewhat easily on a computer.
Steps:
1. Follow this link to see how to export a GPS-enabled activity as .tcx. Check the section on "EXPORTING GPS DATA".
2. Save the file to whatever directory you want on your computer
3. Go to MapMyRun dashboard and click on Import Data for .tcx, .gpx .fit, .hrm
4. Select the file you downloaded in Step 2 to upload.
5. Now your workout will show!
I have no idea why this process can't be automated. But if you're adamant about using MapMyRun still, this should work 😛

That worked! An extra step- not exactly what advertised in my fitbit purchase- but it works. Thank you!
