EEA Warranty in UK

I purchased Ionic 19th April 2018 when UK were within the EU/ EEA it started yesterday with lines going down the screen and unable to see anything. I have tried all the reset, turn off and restore factory settings and nothing has worked. I have contacted customer support and really appreciate that it is going to take longer than usual to hear back from them. So wondering if anyone can offer advice here. I have checked warranty details and it states you have a 1 year warranty against faults/ defects, but if you’re in EEA you have a 2 year warranty. I have checked the government list and UK doesn’t appear on the list of countries. But we would have been in EEA when it was purchased. Would I be covered for the 2 year warranty now?

Your warranty is based on your location at the time of purchase.

We have had a few users purchase their Fitbit while visiting the USA, and was sup tossed it was not covered by the EEU.

Thank you Rich

It was purchased in the UK. I was checking due to all this Brexit etc where I wasn’t sure if UK 2 year warranty will still apply now. I will wait for Fitbit to reply to my twitter message as I understand longer wait for replies at the moment. 2 year warranty will expire this week on 19th April. So hopefully as I’ve messaged them and posted on here before that date  they will accept that it was in warranty when fault began.

@Sarahp5698 I noticed that the preorder page for the Charge 4 on the UK site at https://www.fitbit.com/uk/shop/charge4 still offers a 2 year warranty so it seems like things haven't changed yet

I have a similar problem in that my Inspire HR was bought within the last two years in the UK. Today one corner of the casing has broken off so that the strap cannot now be attached. It should be covered by the warranty since it’s had no ill treatment, it just broke. I’d like to know if I still claim under the warranty.
