I just had an infuriating conversation with Angela, a Fitbit support supervisor, that did nothing to help. She confirmed that the United States law doesn't make them give the same 2-year warranty as Europe, but refused to provide me a complimentary extended warranty for the new device they forced me to need, but offered me a coupon to make it seem like they did me a favor. My Ionic was fully charged and in the middle of a 5-mile run it just died, exactly 30 days after my warranty expired. Shortly after a software update. Sounds like Apple! I called Fitbit and they got it working again. But now with a 60% charge, it turned itself off and won't turn on. I purchased the new Sense with the discount but now I feel I should get the same respect Europeans get, and be offered a full 2-years of coverage. They refused. Why? Clearly, they're not confident in their devices!!! Perhaps I should cancel my order and get a Garmin.
Wow, and their software won't allow me to post this. I have an Ionic that should sync with my Gallaxy S21, but the watch won't turn on. They also waon't allow me to add the label "Warranty"

Hi @RunnerDonna, I'm in the USA myself and there are things we can get here that our European neighbors can't and that includes Canada. Sorry this happened to you, but guess you read the warranty information at some point? I'm a bit confused with your statement "they forced me to need" as a purchase is our choice and we do need to tender a credit card to buy it. I have friends who went to Garmin and they returned. Fitbit has an active community, challenges and a great app which they missed. They came to Fitbit and never looked back. So, why not just get the Sense and give it a shot? Big community and it's possible you're going to be more than happy you made the decision to stay.

I have a Galaxy too, let me try to sync my Ionic. I just threw the Ionic on the charger a few min. ago with a completely dead battery, so this may take a while.
