Everything works except exercise app

Ever since I tried to update my exercise app will not open! It just flashes and goes back to the same screen. Update will never complete. I’ve already tried all the steps the guy sent me in the live chat? How do I get a new watch? I’ve only had it 5 months.

In most cases it's not that the watch is defective what causes an update to fail, so you'll probably have a hard time getting Fitbit to replace yours.

In this specific case, if the update failed in the middle of the installation, some files may be missing and therefore some Apps may not work.

Anyways, if support hasn't suggested it already, I'd advise to go for a Factory reset by going to "Settings" > "About" > Factory Reset. But then again, the Settings App may be screwed as well.

My iPhone has an update but I haven’t updated. Will that make a difference if I do that ?

It's good to apply the update. It won't do anything for the issue you describe, @AmbyT.

Try this:

Go into the app, then Apps, then My Apps. Find Exercise, and uninstall it. Then go back in and re-install it, and it should fix the Exercise app.

If that doesn't work, then you'll have to do a factory reset, and let the update apply, which should also fix it.

The first way will save you a lot of time.

According to Fitbit, keeping everything up to date, including your phone's software, is a "requirement" before anything works in the App.

I'm not sure if you're going to be able to uninstall the exercise App since there are a couple of apps that can't really be uninstalled (such as settings) and my guess is that the exercise one is among them.
