My Ionic died just under two years after purchase. It has a well documented problem - it's stuck in a bootloop. This is caused by faulty design and not by anything I have done.
When I have approached customer service they have not answered specific questions I have about the bootloop issue - it's all canned, evasive answers.
Their response to my issue is to give me the opportunity for a 25% discount on a further purchase - so essentially asking me to give them more money for a product that I know is defective.
This quality of product and customer service is completely unacceptable.

If it suddenly gets stuck in a boot loop after a couple of years, this would be a hardware failure and not a firmware issue.
Fitbit would not have put a code in saying after so many years please self destruct.

It bricked after an update. Still hardware? Thanks for answering this. I appreciate the (difficult to comprehend) amount of time you must spend on these forums.
