Buyer beware...
My ionic died 5 Months after I purchased it. Fitbit replaced it. However, when the replacement died 8 months later they no longer stand behind their product. Think twice before dropping $250

I am disappointed with Fitbit’s quality and customer service. Actions speak louder than words. Fitbit has proven that they don’t build quality products and won’t stand behind them.
I am leaving the Fitbit community. They have lost a customer. I am moving over to the Apple Watch.

I have to second this post. My first fitbit was the tracker that had issues falling off and when I lost mine fitbit replaced it. I was sold on this company. I bought several of those for friends and family and then when the charge HR came out I bought several of those. mine lasted about 8 months then quit working and fitbit sent me a new one. That one lasted about a year, but by then I was on to the new Ionic. That one lasted about 9 months then stopped syncing and fitbit sent me a new one, which also quit working after about a year - but that was about the time the versa came out. I bought one for myself and that one lasted about 10 months before the face came off and fitbit replaced that one with the one I have now about 8 months ago. Now that one doesn't sync any more. any less than 24-36 months of life out of something that is $200 should be a cause for concern and, while I like fitbit as a company, the continued quality issues are just unacceptable. I'm moving on to Garmin or Samsung to see if their products are longer-lasting. I could see if I were an extreme athlete or something but I'm an older middle-aged, not very active guy. If Fitbit can't solve its quality issues, then it's going to be out of business. Not only will I not buy any more Fitbit products, I won't invest in the company. Too bad really, I think they have potential to be great.
No need for platitudes from the Fitbit moderator...I'm done. Seeing "good luck" or "we try our best to build quality products" don't solve the problem. Make your products better, or offer the one year warranty on the replacements. If your products can't even last a year, then you either need to significantly reduce your price point, or get ready for people to stop buying your products.

my ionic lasted one year. I had two Charge HR's previously and they also died. My fitbit scales are pretty useless too giving odd inconsistent readings only seconds apart.
I am finished with Fitbit as a company - I will never buy another '**ahem**bit' device again
