I've had my fitbit for 18 months now and it finally went dead. It had a 75% charge and the unit powered off. I attempted a reset and then the touch display stopped working. Tried resetting again, and it wont come up. I've done the 3 bottom factory reset, the restart using the 2 buttons, with and without it connected to charging. I'm pretty sure it is "bricked". I was already used to the cool features not working (buggy OS), so I just used it for fitness. Now it wont power on and all Fitbit is wanting me to do is buy another one with a 25% discount offer. This is the 3rd Fitbit I have purchased, the other 2 for my wife. Don't buy it or the latest units. The OS is flaky and support is very less than helpful. I've read others in the forums experiancing all the same things. I dont know what would be a good unit to replace this one, but I'm going to find out. Once again, disappointed in the product...not by the features not working this time...but the entire unit.

What should I have labeled my post as then? I know you guys and support are in a tough spot, but its not just me having those issues. It is wide spread and only getting worse.
I tried responding to you through email, but was rejected due to mailbox full.

Hey ghate56 ... it was as if I wrote this myself. Same EXACT thing happened to me just now. 18 months and it just went dead with a 94% charge. I did everything you described below and nothing. 25% discount was given. I've been a fitbit user since 2015 (zip, charge hr 2, ionic). I'm done. For almost $300 I would expect it to last at least a couple years +. Couple runner friends I know have been using their Garmin for over three years and no issues. Time to look at a new brand.

Yep, switching to Garmin. If should arrive tomorrow! VivoActive 3 with Music should be comparable...except actually work. Still responding to support since it was their update that caused the issue. I wasn't going to spend more money with fitbit. Even the newer units are experiencing the bricking issue. I checked the other forums too. 😞 Some are just "lucky" enough to be still under warranty.
