Feedback about Ionic firmware update

Your recent update that was 3 months ago has screwed everything up please fix such as syncing, battery level draining, friends list non-existent among other issues please fix

Your recent update that was 3 months..

Unfortunately the community doesn't get any forewarning of a new firmware update. The first we hear about it is when the forum moderators post a notification. We then have to wait until it is rolled out to various geographic locations on a timeframe we are not privy to. It suddenly appears at the top of the app.

 

Don't hold your breath for an update though. The Ionic has been superseded, so no guarantee that future software support will be forthcoming. Likely not would be my guestimate. Hopefully I will be proven wrong?

 

I suspect Fitbit arn't about to confirm end of software update support publicly - as this would invite further criticism from users - particularly those having issues.

For me never again a Fitbit. I’m so clad that i didn’t update to the latest firmware. Mine still works 🤔

fFeel relay sorry for all of use who did the update end ended  whit a dead Ionic and little to no support.

Luckily there are plenty of us that did have a successful update to the current FW. But I understand if your a little reticent to update.

 

Touch wood, my Ionic has been rock solid since fixing a syncing issue on a new A10 phone. Battery is still excellent - although it should be as the Ionic is only ~1 year old, so early days yet.

There is also a new update that will hit our Ionic's in the comming weeks.
